The perspective of the use of solar energy for the development of the technology of synthesis in a melt of multicomponent ceramic materials is shown. Optical-energy parameters of a large solar furnace with a power of 1 MW for the synthesis of materials based on aluminum titanate are presented. The phase and grain compositions of this materials, depending on the rate of cooling of the melt are presented. The possibility of obtaining a two-phase material containing tialite phase and spinel is shown. The positive influence of the spinel phase on the properties of ceramics from the material synthesized by solar energy is established.
