Effect of heat treatment on properties of hydrogen storage alloy electrode LaNi_3.6Co_0.7Mn_0.4Al_0.3

Effects of heat treatment on phase structure, activities, high rate discharge property and cycle life of hydrogen storage alloy electrode LaNi3.6Co0.7Mn0.4Al0.3 were studied. The impurities in the heat-treated alloy disappeared. On the lattice parameters, a axis was shorter and c axis became longer. When the heat treatment temperature was set at 800℃ , the alloy electrode exhibited better high rate discharge property and cycle life.
