SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA'S PRIORITY CORRIDOR SYSTEM OF SYSTEMS APPROACH TO CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT

2002
This purpose of this paper is to describe the Configuration Management (CM) process for the Southern California Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Priority Corridor. The Priority Corridor has now reached a point where a number of corridor projects are being deployed. As such, the projects are moving from the development phase into an operations and maintenance phase. This paper describes the Configuration Management process developed for the Priority Corridor at a systems level and not at the software development level. The principles identified in this paper can apply to CM at all levels and should flow down to the software and hardware development teams to ensure consistency.
