Climate Change——The Challenge and Transformation Opportunity for Contemporary Landscape Architecture

Climate is one of the main factors which affect landscape architecture.The dialogue between climate and landscape architecture had already started when landscape architecture emerged.However,current climate change will have great effect on landscape architectural planning and design.Therefore,landscape architectural design will deal with not only aesthetic and ecological issues,but also variety of new issues climate change brings.The paper focuses on the responsibilities of landscape architects,to all disastrous consequences caused by climate change,as well as the aspects landscape architectural planning and design should response to the consequences of climate change in,how to adapt and mitigate climate change through planning and design,and the transformation opportunities brought by the challenge.
