Sarcoidal tissue reaction--another complication of ear piercing.

1983
Complications due to ear piercing are well recognized and include local infection, septicaemia, hepatits, tuberculosis, traumatic laceration, embedded studs, bleeding, nickel dermatitis, gold dermatitis, large scars, keloids, epidermal cysts, cleft ear lobe syndrome, post-auricular pressure sores and frostbite due to ethyl chloride spray. We wish to report a sarcoidal tissue reaction after ear piercing which does not appear to have been previously reported.
