The invention discloses a method employing a test bench to check a driving motor, and the method comprises the steps: installing a motor fixing tool and a torquemeter fixing tool on the test bench fixedly; guaranteeing the coaxiality of a tested motor with a partner test motor; the above devices are connected according to the test requirements; testing the torque characteristics of the tested motor; carrying out speed scanning testing under the condition that the torque of the tested motor is full; testing the temperature rise of the tested motor; and testing a cooling system. The method provided by the invention can test each performance of the driving motor quickly and accurately, and can obtain pulling and braking characteristic lines of a vehicle through testing each performance of the driving motor by calculation. Whether the motor reaches the standard of application or not is judged through the testing data, so the method can prolong the service life of the driving motor after the driving motor leaves a factory, improves the safety performance, and reduces the cost of maintenance.
