Structure Determination for Two New Ceramides from the Sponge Sigmadocia sp.

Two newceramides were isolated fromthe sponge Sigmadocia sp.collected fromWeizhou Island of Guangxi Province,China.On the basis of spectroscopic studies,such as IR,1D NMR,2D NMR,FAB MS(fast atom bombardment mass spectroscopy),and chemical identification,their structures have been deterˉmined as N-(n-docosanoyl)-2-amino- n-eicosane-1,3,4,5-tetraol(1)and N-(2′-hydroxy- n-docosanoyl)-2-amino- n-octadecane-1,3,4-triol(2).
