Insulin dependent neurite outgrowth in cultured embryonic mouse brain cells

1983
Abstract Insulin is shown to promote neuronal regeneration in cultures of cells dissociated from embryonic mouse brain. The cells grown in the absence of serum extend neurites upon exposure to insulin. Insulin also induces ornithine decarboxylase activity in these cultures.
