Experimental Study of Spriulina Polysacchrides on the Proliferation and Apoptosis Rate of Hepatoma Carcinoma Cells Induced by Radiation

2013
Objective:To evaluate the inhibition of spriulina polysacchrides to the proliferation of HepG2 human liver cancer cell line and explore its radiation sensibilization.Method:Survival fractions of HepG2 human liver cancer cell line were tested with MTT method under different times and concentrations when the cell lines were dealt with spriulina polysacchrides to calculate inhibition ratio of cellular proliferation;Effects of spriulina polysacchrides on apoptosis rate and cell cycle arrest of HepG2 human liver cancer cell line which was radiated with X-ray were detected under different times and dosages with flow cytometry.Result:Spriulina polysacchrides could inhibit the proliferation of HepG2 human liver cancer cell line in vitro.Spriulina polysacchrides could arrest liver cancer cells at G0/G1 and S phases, the detection of flow cytometry showed that there was apoptotic peak appeared. Conclusion:The effects of spriulina polysacchrides on the inhibition of HepG2 human liver cancer cell extracorporeal proliferation are time-concentration dependent relationship.Under a certain condition, spriulina polysaccharides could enhance radiation sensibilization of HepG2 human liver cancer cell.
