ANÁLISE MORFOMÉTRICA LINEAR E AREAL DA BACIA HIDROGRÁFICA DO AMAMBAI - MATO GROSSO DO SUL - BRASIL LINEAR AND AREAL MORPHOMETRIC ANALYSIS FROM AMAMBAI WATERSHED - MATO GROSSO DO SUL - BRAZIL

The main purpose of this article is to show the first statistics of the water drainage from the Amambai Watershed, by a morphometric analysis of the study area. This research is necessary for the understanding of the physical aspects of this area, in order to stimulate future programs or political actions into the Amambai River Watershed. The Amambai Watershed has an area of 10.206,56 km 2 and it is located in a political and economical strategic region of the Mato Grosso do Sul State. Thus, this area is very likely to provoke political actions towards a development of a future Watershed Committee. In this article, there were used classical proceedings of methodology in Fluvial Geomorphology, in order to show some statistics related to linear and areal morphometric analysis. Some softwares, as ArcGis, Spring and Excel, were used as well, becoming possible the cartographical process of information from the studied area, and the tabulation of the registered statistics.
