Comparison of FEVG and ventricular volumes obtained by synchronized tomo-scintigraphy of the myocardial perfusion with the radiological and echographic values; Comparaison de la FEVG et des volumes ventriculaires obtenus par tomoscintigraphie synchronisee de la perfusion myocardique avec les valeurs radiologiques et echographiques

1997
Sixty one patients (74% M), carriers of coronary stenoses (of which 51 infarctions and 30 by-passes or angio-plasties) benefited by an at-rest Thallium exploration and an in-effort MIBI-{sup 99m}Tc (740 MBq), with synchronized tomographic acquisition on a double head Vertex ADAC camera and automatic quantification of the FEVG (FEVGs) and of telediastolic and telesystolic ventricular volumes (VTDs, VTSs) based on a program developed at Cedars-Sinai Institute. All the patients have had along 3 months a ventriculography with measurement of FEVG concomitant with the coronarography (FEVGr) and 23 of them have had an echographic determination of the ventricular volumes (VTDe, VTSe, FEVGe). A table is given with the values of FEVGs/FEVGr, FEVGs/FEVGe, FEVGe/FEVGr, VTDs/VTDe, VTSs/VTSe corresponding to the r and regression. One can observe that in all the cases there exist a highly significant correlation. The dispersion of the values between the scintigraphic and radiologic measurement is comparable to that existing between the echographic and radiologic determination. The FEVGs is systematically under-estimated as against the FEVGr by a factor close to 3/4. It is more close to the echographic value. On the contrary, the ventricular values are always over-estimated in comparison with the echographic values. However, it is possible to calculate the correspondence with the formulas given in the table
