Environment law: Clean energy package - legislation introduced

The Australian Federal Government has introduced legislation into Parliament to implement its previously announced carbon price mechanism (the scheme).1 The legislation establishes a carbon price through a combination of measures designed to provide price signals to encourage new behaviours and the adoption and consumption of low-carbon alternatives.
