Изменение биомеханических показателей корнеосклеральной оболочки глаза у лиц старших возрастных групп

80 persons (160 eyes) with a normal intraocular pres sure (IOP) were examined. Mean age was 68,5±0,8 years (from 50 till 82 years). Significant decrease of central corneal thickness was noted only in patients older than 60 years. Aging decrease of biomechanical parameters (corneal hysteresis and corneal resistance factor) of eye corneoscleral capsule was also revealed. It was connected with age disorders of connective tis sue structures of cornea and sclera. It was shown that corneal compensated intraocular pressure slightly de pended on thickness of cornea and its biomechanical properties and reflected IOP level more objectively.
