24 W 888 nm pumped Nd:YVO 4 1342 nm oscillator operating in the TEM 00 mode

We report on a 888 nm diode pumped Nd:YVO 4 cw-laser at 1342 nm, which provides an output power of 24 W into a diffraction limited beam. An optical conversion efficiency of 29 % was obtained.
