A multi-output HVDC system for telecommunications buildings

Reduction of power use in telecommunications building has become a social responsibility as a means of reducing the level of atmospheric CO2 that is a cause of global warming and to counter rising costs of electricity. One means of reducing power consumption is to introduce HVDC systems. This paper reports the issues involved in studying a multi-output HVDC/48Vdc power supply system and presents the comparison of power conversion efficiency on the proposed power system.
