Effects of seeding date and planting density on major economic traits of soybean variety Zheqiudou 2.

Field experiments with soybean cultivar Zheqiudou 2 were carried out under different seeding dates and planting densities in order to analyze the effects of seeding date and planting density on major economic traits of the cultivar.The results showed that early seeding and thin planting could very significantly increase the effective pods per plant,the filled grains per plant and the dry 100-grain weight,but thin or thick planting had not a significant effect on the filled grains per plant when the seeding date was late.Appropriate early seeding and thick planting could very significantly improve the yield of the cultivar under the current experimental conditions.
