Method for saving energy and system thereof

The embodiment of the invention discloses a method for saving energy and a system thereof. The method comprises the step of closing a sending passageway which is corresponding to an OFM mark or reducing the power of the sending passageway when the OFM mark of a subframe of an LTE system has no practical content. The system comprises a module 1 for judging whether the current OFM mark has the practical content on the subframe of the LTE system; a module 2 for receiving the judgment result of the module 1, and closing the ending passageway or reducing the power of the sending passageway when the judgment result is negative. The embodiment of the invention distinguishes the mark with the practical content from the mark without the practical content, and reduces the power of the sending passageway at the time which is corresponding to the mark or closes the sending passageway at the tome which is corresponding to the mark for the mark without ant content, thereby saving the energy consumption of the system.
