Products from Methane Decomposition in DC Discharge Plasma Space

2004
The infrared emission spectra of methane and its dissociation products in plasma space were measured. Methane decomposition and C_2 hydrocarbons formation as well as H and CH free radical in plasma space were observed and researched. Experiment results showed that there were undecomposed methane, H and CH free radical, and C_2 hydrocarbons in plasma space and the proportion of these substances changed with discharge time.
