Primary Study on the Bleeding of Limbus Cornea in LASIK

Objective To study the affection on operation effect and prevention of bleeding in laser in situ keratomileusis(LASIK).Methods Observation was made to the bleeding of 51 eyes in 46 cases and to the affection of bleeding on the operation effect.Results Bleeding occurred on the top of the cornea in 30 eyes(58.8%) and in lower part of the cornea in 9 eyes(17.6%),12 eyes had bleeding at 2 spots(23.5%);half month after operation,overcorrection was found in 30 eyes,undercorrection in 11 eyes,5 eyes showed irregular astigmatism;7 eyes were operated on again to raise eyesight.Conclusion Bleeding of limbus cornea in LASIK affect the operation effect and much attention should be paid in the operation.
