Mobility Grouping Scheme to Reduce HLR Traffic in IMT-2000 Networks

This paper proposes the registration grouping scheme that solves the Home Location Register (HLR) bottleneck due to the terminal’s frequent Registration Area (RA) crossings and that distributes the registration traffic to each of the local signaling transfer point (LSTP) area.
