Application of XML in TV Program Personalization

XML provides an efficient representation method for multimedia content for its simple, open, flexible, and extensible. This paper first introduces the working model of TV program personalization system (Adaptive Agent). Then it describes several XML technologies and their application in the system. The key XML technologies are XML metadata representation, XML parsing, and XML data query and sort.
