Expression of 4.1R protein mRNA in myocardial tissues of elderly mice with heart failure
2016
Objective
To detect the expression of 4.1R protein in myocardial tissue of elderly mice with heart failure(HF).
Methods
A total of 40 healthy elderly male mice were divided into heart failure group (n=20) and control group (n=20). After conventional feeding for eight weeks, using ultrasound to assess their cardiac function, and their hearts were removed to assess the left ventricular mass index(LVMI) after execution. RT-PCR was used to detect the expression of 4.1R protein in elderly mice myocardial tissue , and compare the differences between the two group.
Results
Compared with the control group, the heart rate, LVESD, LVEDD, left ventricular mass index in heart failure group markedly increased, while the LVEF decreased, and the expression of 4.1R protein mRNA significantly increased in myocardial tissue of the heart failure group, and the differences were significant(P<0.05).
Conclusions
The significantly increased expression of 4.1R protein mRNA in myocardial tissue of elderly mice with HF suggests that 4.1R protein may be related to the occurrence and development of heart failure.
