Two compatible or incompatible comments were added to each weblog entry (JV = 130) and blogers’ activity was measured for eight days after and prior to the manipulation. The study revealed that bloggers were more active if commented with a compatible note, especially compatible complaining. Results suggest that complaining increases and affirming decreases bloggers’ activity.
