Window switching method and device

An embodiment of the invention discloses window switching method and device. The method includes: acquiring a satisfactory first pre-read keyword from all content of a page opened through a first window; determining a first pre-read URL corresponding to the first pre-read keyword; loading a page of the first pre-read URL by a created second window; and switching to the second window loading the first pre-read URL when a command indicating entry to the page of the first pre-read URL is received. Through the method and the device, the advantages that the pre-reading function is realized; the technical problem of lower user experience caused by failure in completely displaying the content of the pre-read page after the pre-read page is switched to in the prior art is also solved.
