Leitura(s) na adolescência e a formação do leitor literário: missão (quase) impossível?

The benefits of reading during the period of adolescence are described and analyzed by many researchers. We can situate these benefits at several levels, namely at literary or psychological level, among others. However, we also know that many adolescents move away from the reading habits acquired in childhood and that teenagers without great reading habits or with reading problems will not easily connect with books. In this context, adolescence is therefore associated with a "time of crisis", especially of literary reading. Based on the current Portuguese context, in the diagnosis made on the reading habits of adolescents and their reading competences, this paper aims to analyze the characteristics of literary productions that seems have more acceptance among adolescents. We also intend to delineate the model reader suggested by these texts and to analyze their contribution to literature reader formation.
