HOW WE CAN ELIMINATE HIV-INFECTION IN NEWBORNS OF UKRAINE

The article presents ways to improve the prevention mother-to-child transmission of HIV (PMTCT) and a list of neonatal care services for children born from HIV-infected mothers: postexposure antiretroviral prophylaxis in newborn, safe feeding, diagnostics of antenatal HIV-infection. The algorithms for counseling HIV-infected mothers by neonatologists according to the list of neonatal care services have been proposed.
