What about Nature in Regional Science

Twenty two years ago I had the privilege to address the Regional Science Association in Copenhagen. On that occasion I chose to ask the question: “What about people in regional science?” Here — and once again in Denmark — I have been invited to ask a different, but corresponding question: “What about nature in regional science?” My preliminary topic is not formulated exactly in these words. It is nevertheless its essential content.
