Sustainable transport development in mega cities by transferring new mobility concepts to developing countries

New mobility concepts are solutions in cities to limit and reduce individual car traffic. Can those concepts be transferred into developing and emerging countries? The focus of the investigation is on carsharing with a special emphasis on the role of e-mobility. As study area Jiading, a district of the mega city Shanghai is carried out. The investigation includes an empirical study, which analysis the willingness and acceptance of new mobility concepts as well as e-mobility. The impact evaluation regarding traffic and environment is conducted in the form of scenario analysis using a traffic simulation tool – SUMO (Simulation of Urban Mobility).
