Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der Öko-Sojabohne in der PraxisErgebnisse aus dem deutschen Soja-Netzwerk

The economic analysis of data collected in 60 organic farms all over Germany supplies contribution margins of soybeans and alternative cash crops for the years 2014 and 2015. In 2014 soybeans with an average yield of 24 dt/ha show good economic competitiveness, especially compared to wheat and grain peas. In contrast, the economic success of soybeans in 2015 is worse, mainly caused by a drought during their vegetation period in some regions. While the average of variable costs and producer prices almost remain at the same level, the major factor affecting the contribution margin was the soybean yield varying in wide range.
