A Method for Continuous Measurement of Muscle Fibre Conduction Velocity

1988
In work and in sports physiology, parameters of the electromyogram (EMG) are often used to assess muscular performance, muscle fatigue, and the effects of training. While in clinical neurology the EMG is in many cases recorded invasively by needle electrodes, in the fields of work physiology commonly estimated parameters of the surface electromyogram are detected by skin electrodes over the investigated muscle.
