NQR and NMR studies of YbMCu4(M=In, Cd)

Abstract 63 Cu NQR and 113 Cd NMR in YbInCu 4 and YbCdCu 4 have been measured on powdered samples prepared from single crystals. In YbInCu 4 the 63 Cu NQR results are almost in agreement with the previous ones for polycrystalline samples. In YbCdCu 4 the nuclear relaxation rate T −1 1 for 63 Cu NQR suggests a gradual change of f electron states from Fermi liquid to localized one with temperature. The Knight shift and T −1 1 for 113 Cd NMR show remarkable magnetic field dependences.
