On the Economic and Social Impacts of University Research

We have come to realise that the work presented below is only a beginning of a long-term commitment to dig deeper into a complex issue for the university system. While there is a long tradition, and a number of supporting research studies, on the academic impacts of research and the economic and social impacts of higher education the question of economic and social impacts of university activity as regards collaboration is still under-studied and under-researched.
