Study on the influence of pollution source location on indoor pollutant distribution under different air supply

2017
Abstract This paper examines the effect of pollution source location on indoor pollutant distribution in different air supply systems. Airpak 3.0 software was used to separately simulate benzene pollutant concentration distribution in an office under natural ventilation, the replacement ventilation and up-inlet and down-outlet on the same side by changing the position of pollution source. The results showed that the most proper position of pollutant sources was the position 3 under three ventilation modes. And the average concentration of benzene of various planes were relatively the lowest for up-inlet and down-outlet on the same side mode. The condition that pollution sources at position 3 under single side supply side return mode was finally determined as the best physical model. The level of pollutants in the office is relatively low and the ventilation is best. The analysis provides a theoretical basis for the assurance of indoor air quality.
