Differential microwave imaging in medicine based on ultra-wideband pseudo-noise MIMO-radar

2017
Microwave imaging of weak scattering objects within a strong multi-path environment is a challenging task. Differential imaging is used when the wanted targets are subjected to induced or inherent changes while the surrounding keeps stable. The paper illustrates the approach of differential imaging, discusses the performance limitations by random signal perturbations, and shows some examples from medical engineering.
