Results of resection of metastatic tumors of the liver
1963
Abstract Twenty-five patients with liver metastasis treated by surgical resection are reviewed. The average survival period was 35.1 months. Of those operated on more than five years prior to the study, four (20 per cent) are surviving and have no evidence of recurrent or residual disease. A more aggressive approach is advised in treating patients with metastatic lesions of the liver.
