An EPSsystem requires large electrical power depending on steering torque. Recently, therequired steering torque isgetting larger especially forluxury sedans andlargeSports Utility Vehicles. Inheavyvehicles, the steering without driving andtheemergency steering are becoming averyheavyloadforaconventional 12Vbattery system. Therefore, itisimportant toestimate thebattery powermanagement andthevoltage behavior usingthe multi domainsimulation forconcept planning. Thepurpose ofthis research istoshowthatmulti domainsimulation is effective todiscuss powerelectronics systemandpower networkinthevehicle. Thispaperdescribes modeling methodforanEPSsystem using VHDL-AMS(1121. Static steering anddynamicsteering results werevalidated in comparison withexperimental data.
