Analysis of the examination interval for prostate cancer

Background An annual examination is recommended to patients with normal findings from digital rectal examination and transrectal ultrasonography, and less than a 4.0 ng/ml level of prostate specific antigen (PSA). This report investigates the appropriate screening interval for men with less than 4.0 ng/mL PSA.
