Intestinal Worms: Parasite Mysteries in Wintry Climes

2017
In the summer of 1996, I happened to be visiting Washington DC. As I love visiting museums and art galleries, whenever I had time on my hands in Washington I would head to the National Mall and wander into the Smithsonian complex of museums which are of tremendous value, especially since they are free! My favorite is the East Wing of the National Gallery of Art, designed by I.M. Pei, with its sharp angles and dramatic geometric facades externally, and the bright glass and steel atrium within, looking out onto a cascade of water rippling over stone baffles on an inclined wall, like a waterfall. I often enjoyed the building itself as much as the exhibits within.
