The design of a phase compensator for the CIC decimation filter

Power Meters are widely used. It consists of seven independent 24-bit, 3 rd order Delta-Sigma Modulators for current, voltage channels and Digital Signal Processor. The requirement for signal phase accuracy is high. We proposed the architecture for the implementation of phase compensator in Cascaded Integrator-Comp (CIC) Filter. This adjusts phase mismatches between the voltage and current channels in the Poly-phase Power Energy Measurement. This paper presents the application of the phase compensator method for the design of the CIC Filter. It changes the phase of voltage and current channels to reduce the increased phase deviation. Besides, we also introduce the brief description of the CIC Filter' structure. The simulation result shows that the design can improve an accuracy of measurement of the system.
