Terapia larval con Musca domestica en el tratamiento de la úlcera leishmánica

Leishmaniosis is a disease with a great impact on the public health, due to the characteristics of the tegumentary injuries. The experimental treatment with LT (larval therapy) from Lucilia sericata , revealed cicatrization on leishmanicas injuries. The research objective focus on a fly who is simple to collect it, it’s not able to produce human myasis and has a high fertility like the domestic fly. Materials and methods: It made a quantitative research based on description through an experimental design with animals, from the specie Mesocricetus auratus to evaluate the therapy effect of LT, checking results of the chemical treatment antimonial of the experimental Ulamina drug, during some simples testing (LT, in 75% of infects animals with L. Amazoensis , then 100% infects animals with L. braziliensis . Despite the combined use of LT +Ulamina, its evident a potentiating effect on the lacerations cure, but inflammation remains. Any treatment applied evidences a parasitological cure, then the result it s similar to every conventional treatment that have been tested.
