Complementary α-alkylation approaches for a sterically hindered spiro[pyrazolopyranpiperidine]ketone

Abstract Complementary α-alkylation methods are used to derivatize a sterically hindered spiro[pyrazolopyranpiperidine]ketone. More specifically, enolate alkylations in the presence of DMPU and aldol condensations are employed to deliver these compounds.
