The sample were synthesized on a metallic TiN filmusing catalytic chemical vapor deposition and characterizedby scanning electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, andK-resolved inverse photoemission spectroscopy. Because ofthe metallic TiN support and the presence of well-ordered oneor two layers graphene islands, the so grown carbon nano-structures (CNs) can be used in many applications. Our resultsindicate that a multi-techniques approach is fundamental tofully characterize CNs.
