Tratamento diretamente observado na tuberculose: imergindo em publicações científicas

2020
The supervised treatment is a complex of activities that support the therapeutic planning and practice has been increasingly estimated in TB control actions. The study aimed to highlight the difficulties in Directly Observed Treatment for tuberculosis patients in the Family Health Strategy, identifying the clinical and epidemiological profile of patients who dropped out of treatment and the factors that influence the implementation of supervised strategy. This is an integrative review of exploratory and descriptive, with quantitative approach. The results showed that the most vulnerable patients abandonment are: male, 20–39 years, low education, alcoholics, and the mentally ill. Studies show that therapy is not affected by the customer's inclusion in decision-making and treatment abandonment is associated with the care management of disability, where one of the foundations for the strategy was the consolidation of the bond. The strategy of supervised treatment for TB is effective to reduce the abandonment of therapy, however the self-administered treatment is still common in health facilities.
