The growing awareness of the possible occurrence of painless myocardial ischemia is beginning to influence our clinical practice. However, while in some quarters physicians are still perplexed by this entity and are inclined to disregard it, in others, the pendulum is swinging too far in the opposite direction, particularly in terms of diagnosis.
