The invention discloses a device for improving electron velocity imaging resolution. The device comprises a vacuum cylindrical cavity, a repulsion electrode, an extraction electrode, a first grounding electrode, a second grounding electrode, a micro-channel plate, a fluorescent plate and a CCD camera, wherein the repulsion electrode, the extraction electrode, the first grounding electrode, the second grounding electrode, the micro-channel plate, the fluorescent plate and the CCD camera are sequentially placed in the vacuum cylindrical cavity. A compensation electrode is further arranged between the second grounding electrode and the micro-channel plate. The second grounding electrode and the compensation electrode form a compensation flight area, and therefore an inclined focal plane formed by electrons with different magnitudes of energy is converted into a focal plane in the direction vertically parallel to a face plate of a detector. By means of the device, the inclined focal plane formed by electrons with different magnitudes of energy is converted into the focal plane in the direction vertically parallel to the face plate of the detector, the problem that the focal plane and the detector are not spatially in the same vertical plane in the electron beam focusing process is solved, and therefore the resolution of a velocity imaging device is improved.
