Catalytic hydrogenation properties and characterization of ruthenium complexes immobilized on the organic modified nano-SiO 2 and mesoporous SBA-15 substrates

2020
Transition metal ruthenium compounds have a wide range of applications in homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis such as in hydrogenation and hydrodesulfurization aspects. This research mainly started from organic olefin modified nano-SiO2 and mesoporous SBA-15, and the ruthenium complexes containing ligands with silicone groups could be immobilized effectively on the surface of modified soluble nano-SiO2 and mesoporous SBA-15, which could form an immobilized center of heterogeneous catalytic molecules solid immobilized center. The immobilized catalysts had good solubility in organic phase and the catalytic effect in the hydrogenation of olefins was also investigated. The results showed that the immobilized catalysts containing organic silicon groups had good and stable catalytic activity, and the olefin hydrogenation conversion rate could reach about ca. 70% under 0.1 MPa. Furthermore, the immobilized catalysts could be reused many times as the green catalysts, which was very promising in molecular catalysis.
