The aging process has been widely treated by specialists in different disciplines, especially after the disclosure of the growing number of elderly in the world at the junction of the decline in the birth rate and mortality. Aging is a process inherent in every living being. For the human being is not just the passage of time, with a dynamic, progressive and irreversible changes occurring therein biological, psychological and social to the individual. Alzheimer's disease is the most common form of dementia, characterized by memory impairment, cognitive function, language, judgment, and daily activities, patients can not perform self-care activities and become dependent on others. This study aimed to identify the difficulties experienced by caregivers face of Alzheimer's patients, and caregivers know the routine, check the caregiver 's perception of the disease, verify that the work performed by caregivers to patients with Alzheimer's disease acts so satisfactory. The present study is an exploratory / descriptive and quantitative data analysis. The same was held at the residence of patients with Alzheimer's disease caregivers of patients with this pathology. The results showed that individuals have satisfactory knowledge about pathology, but also feel prepared to be caregivers, another important fact is that the majority of caregivers reported having received some kind of guidance on how to care for a person with Alzheimer's found dare study that family participation in care is important because it strengthens the bond between the patient.
