The implementation and evaluation of standard training program for newly graduated nurses

Objective To explore the standardized training for new nurses, in order to improve the nurses' theoretical level and practical ability. Methods A total of 86 newly graduated nurses since 2012 were given the pre-position trainings, hospital nursing skill operation trainings hospital concentration theory trainings and department monthly theory and operation trainings.The standardized trainings with plans, targets and aims were carried out by using the junior nurses standardized training manuals, set them as experimental group; the newly graduated 72 nurses before 2012 were carried out the retrospective analysis by using the traditional training situations, and set them as control group. Results The new graduate nurses' examination pass rate was increased significantly after standardized training; the experimental groups' theoretical knowledge, nursing technical operation and emergency capability were significantly better than those of control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions The establishment and implementation of training model has a positive effect for new nurses to become eligible nurses. Key words: New nurses; Standardized training; Effect
