The invention discloses a current-digital-signal-based underwater splitter control method. According to a preset communication protocol, a shore-based power supply changes current levels of a backbone network of a submarine network system at a certain frequency to form control signals; communication with an underwater splitter is established and a control command is transmitted; and different states of a high-voltage vacuum switch in the underwater splitter are controlled actively, so that remote fault isolation in the submarine network system and power connection or disconnection of submarine cable branches can be realized. Compared with the existing underwater splitter control method, the provided current-digital-signal-based underwater splitter control method has characteristics of low cost and high reliability and a control strategy with high robustness is provided for the submarine network.
