Interfacial regulation of dendrite-free zinc anodes through dynamic hydrophobic molecular membrane

2021
A dynamic hydrophobic molecular membrane (DHM) of quaternary phosphonium salts has been in situ constructed on an electrified anode. The DHM can act as a resistor to regulate the distribution and reduction rates of zinc species, thus refining grains and facilitating the formation of dendrite-free zinc anodes to improve battery cycle stability.
